104 Days Challenge

text from Instagram:

There's one hundred-and-four days of summer vacation, and school comes along just to end it.

Thank you, all, for coming along with me on this journey. I had so much fun this summer and I can't wait to see what the next part of our lives holds for us. I'm so glad I had all of you to embark on this project with. 😊

From here on out, you can keep up with me at https://caldercastro.substack.com as this account will go mostly quiet. See you there! (It will not be very serious.)

Wait, what is this?

My last summer break before college happened to be 104 days long. As a naïve reference to a show I did not watch growing up, I did something every day, took a picture, and edited it into this montage. I also posted all of the pictures to my Instagram stories.

I've historically spent my summers wasting away inside, so this project was seriously game changing for me. I not only wanted to make it more routine to do things outside myself, I also wanted to encourage others to do the same and I think I succeeded on that end. I invite anyone who has a 104-or-so day long summer vacation to follow in this challenge.

I did this project alongside Deklan Hoover and Dorian Roser, who did their own activities. Whether they'll publish a final piece like I did is up to them, but if they ever do I'll link it here.
